The Human Thing

“She’s looking at us Argen. I think she can see us!”

“Don’t panic. With any luck she’ll go away.”

“But what if she don’t, Argen. What if she talks to us, or even worse, touches us. I couldn’t bear one of them human things touching me. They’ve got big fingers and such coarse skin.”

“Hush, Roc. The more you go on the more likely it is she’ll hear you. Brac, how’s it going with the invisibility cloak?”

“Working on it, Argen. Looks like it might have malfunctioned when the human thing walked into the room. Should have it sorted soon.”
