Maureen

‘Do you remember this place Maureen? We used to come here when we were courting. Such happy days. It’s got a bit derelict and overgrown since then, a little like our marriage. I wonder what went wrong? I know I must take some of the blame. I’m not the easiest person to live with. But you planning to run off with another man Maureen, how could you? I couldn’t let someone else have you Maureen, I just couldn’t.’

Jim brushed away a tear and bent down, gently rolling Maureen’s body into the freshly dug grave. Nobody would find her here.
