An Accident


To the cheering crowds it was merely an unfortunate accident. Many of those watching couldn’t help but smile, glad he’d taken a tumble. For the press it was a godsend. These pictures were going to sell papers. This would be the top story in the early evening news bulletins. His people ran around panicking. Annoyed that a seemingly good PR exercise had gone so terribly wrong all because he couldn’t stay upright on a bloody bike. It would be a good few seconds before anyone noticed the blood and the bullet hole, by which time I would be long gone.
