No Santa! – A 33 word Story For Trifextra

This week’s Trifextra prompt. Charles Dickens, in A Christmas Carol, wrote “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour.” The challenge – exactly 33 words to make us laugh out loud and spread some festive cheer.

Santa-In-SleighWhat Do You Mean There’s No Santa?

“I’m telling you dad, there’s no Father Christmas.”

“You sure son? Who’s been eating the mince pies and drinking the sherry then?”

“Sorry dad, it’s mum, she’s been lying to us for years.”

In Sweden Santa comes on Christmas Eve.. and for some reason many fathers always miss him after going out an errand just when they got visited by Father Christmas… hmm.. I guess it’s mother that’s fooled then.
