‘Goodbye Sweetheart’ – A 33 Word For Trifecta

This weekend’s prompt from Trifecta – 33 words on what scares you. For me it’s always been the bogeyman that hides in the bedroom wardrobe.

Goodbye Sweetheart

“I’m telling you sweetheart, leave the wardrobe door open at night and the bogeyman will get you.”

She turned over, ignoring me as usual.

That was the last I ever saw of her.

    1. You could be right. Enlisting the help of the wardrobe bogeyman to get rid of an unwanted wife might be worth giving some thought to.
      Thanks for your comments Kimm.

  1. Come on, someone has to say it…….do wives ever really listen to their husbands anyway? Let’s be honest now. Stop leaving doors ajar and there won’t be any problems, Luvey. Simple as that.
    Nice one, Mike! 🙂

    1. I’m glad you had the courage to come out with that statement Tom. I can agree with you wholeheartedly knowing my wife never reads my blog!
      Thanks for your comment.

  2. Ok, not what I needed to read. my 5 yr olds closet door is broken and half of it won’t close. No boogeyman will get HIM though or they will face the wrath of this shapeshifting momma and face the BEAR!

Great take on the prompt. That’s one of my favorite movies!

    1. Thank you for your kind words.
Whenever I start one of these stories it is invariably 50+ words long. The fun comes from keep reading it back and working out which of my original words I ca do without. You should give it a go, it’s great fun.

I look forward to reading your comments
