‘The Masterpiece’ – A Haibun For Trifextra Week Eighty-One

The Trifextra challenge for this weekend was 33 words of ‘soul-soaring happiness’ – in other words keep away from our normal dark and creepy! Easier said than done. I’ve tried to capture mine in a haibun.

Mother Nature’s palette is ready, colours are mixed, the light is good. With  deft strokes of her brush the landscape changes – another masterpiece in the making.

  1. Oh Mike, your words are painted so well! I love the idea of Mother Nature wielding a paint brush – it certainly seems that way, doesn’t it, with the changing of the seasons. You’ve done a wonderful job and this haibun has definitely provided joy! :))

  2. I wouldn’t know the difference between a haiku, a haibun, or cinnamon bun, but I know what I like and this is beautiful, Mike. You never fail to touch me with your artistry with words.

    1. Thank you for your kind words
PS A cinnamon bun is the tastier of the three. Personally, I enjoy eating one while creating a haiku or haibun.

I look forward to reading your comments
