‘Summer’ – A 33 Word Poem For Trifextra Seventy-Two

The challenge from Trifecta this weekend is to describe Summer in just 33 words. Here goes:

time for that
well-earned rest,
a week away
on a beach,
with the kids,
in the pouring rain,
stuck in that
leaking caravan ….
and to make
things worse –
it’s only day one!

Now that I'm retired I have more time to devote to writing my blog and creating short stories.

    1. I quite like rain but not dripping on you in the middle of the night when you’re trying to sleep and the wind is howling, the kids are crying, the wife is threatening to …….
      Thanks for dropping by.

    1. It always improves on the last day while you’re sat on the motorway, in the heat, in a traffic jam and the air conditioning has given up. It wouldn’t be a proper holiday without this sort of ending!
Thanks for dropping by Sarah Ann.
