‘Change’ – A Series Of Haiku For Haiku Heights

I’ve started writing Haiku again after what seems like an age. The present prompt at Haiku Heights is the word ‘Change’. These came to mind:

at my time of life,
change occurs too rapidly –
what the hell are iPods

****

you said I would change,
ugly duckling to gracious swan –
it never happened

****

“I can change!” she cried
Her anguish melted my heart –
maybe one more chance

****

any change mister,
you’ll not miss a few coins –
I so need a drink

****

Bastard! You promised,
no more visits to my room –
why won’t you change dad
