Who Needs To Fly – 100 Word Story

A bit late this week with my 100 word story for this week’s Friday Fictioneers.

Who Needs To Fly

Why me? Everyone else gets the regulation two wings, I end up with three of the bloody things! I know what you’re thinking – that extra wing must be so useful. Increased speed, greater manoeuvrability …… if only. The trouble is I can’t get the buggers coordinated. Try as I might its impossible to control all three at the same time. I spend most of my time twirling around, helplessly, in spiralling circles. So that’s it, I’m through with all this flying business. I’m going to have the things surgically removed and settle down, here on Earth, as a mere mortal.

  1. Dear Mike,

After he gets his wings surgically removed he can go get his pilot’s license. Good way to incorporate that sculptor’s oddball positioning of three thick stalked maple seep looking wings.

I look forward to reading your comments
