Rhythm Haiku

September Haiku Heights Challenge nearly over – here we are on Day 29 and the prompt is ‘Rhythm’.

he closed his eyes
the rhythmic beating of her heart
echoed in his head

despite assurances
rhythm method didn’t work –
their beautiful son

left on a park bench
one old and battered trombone –
lost rhythm and soul

Now that I'm retired I have more time to devote to writing my blog and creating short stories.
